“I am what I am today only because what hermon Children’s Home has done for me”, affirms 17 year old Bhanumathi.

Hermon orphanage was the stepping stone to success to Banumathi. After completing her higher secondary education Hermon helped her to complete a 1 year course in Data Preparation in computer Software (DPCS) from the National council for Vocational Training. From the age of 12 till she finished her DPCS in 2004 she was under Hermon’s care.

Today Banumathi works as a typist cum computer operater for women in development organization in Dharmapuri. She says “I enjoyed the discipline in the Hermon Home. It helped in moulding me. I still practice some of the things I learnt at the Home like Knitting, embroidery and choruses we sang everyday. I have personally known my Saviour(Jesus). I know He will take care of me throughout my life. I should specially thank my sponsor who made it possible in my life. I shall be ever grateful and pray for him all my life.

From the depths of despair and hopelessness, she was longing for a miracle to feed her, heal her, clothe her, educate her and give her a hope. 8 years back, Mercy was left on the streets waiting for a miracle to happen in her life. She was brought to hermon children’s Home and was educated. After completion of her schooling, she took up nursing course with the ANM’s and is now a qualified full time nurse serving Hermon orphanage with immediate medicational needs. She recollects the time she enjoyed with her brothers and sisters and also the sponsor who helped her in completion of her studies.

‘God gave her(sponsor) the mind to sponsor me. I am grateful to my Lord and my sponsor. May the lord speak to many givers so that many more children who are deserted like me may find a home and family through Hermon ministries.
